Northern Michigan University's Master of Science in exercise science is highly regarded and has graduated alumni who have professional careers in broad spectrum of the exercise science, sports science, and health and wellness fields – many at elite levels. The NMU exercise science master's degree is intended for students with undergraduate backgrounds in athletic training, biological sciences, dietetics, health, nursing, physical education, physiology, physical therapy and sport/exercise science. The primary objective of this program is to provide the student with working knowledge in the physiological and biomechanical aspects of human movement and exertion.
