First Edition. - Hardcover - Noonday Press, New York - 1952 - Condition: Very Good - Good - The author's magnificent early modernist masterpiece. In blue buckram covered boards and blue spine cloth with gold and silver type. Some light wear/rubbing to corners and spine ends and previous owner's name to front pastedown in pencil. Otherwise clean with solid binding. Great mid-century cover design by Shari Frisch. Jacket is price-clipped with some chipping mostly at corners and spine ends and with flake to rear flap crease.
